I painted from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.in this old growth forest and loved every minute of it–in spite of the mosquitoes. Later that day I attended the 60 year celebration of Beall Woods being protected by the state of Illinois. Thank you Illinois DNR and before them the Beall family, who were fortunately suspicious of timbermen!
