When I saw it on the first day of our visit, I knew I would come back to try a painting by this tidal pool. The rising tide kept me from completing this canvas on the first day and the second. It took three sessions in all. Luckily we were staying nearby and all three mornings had relatively similar weather. The view is across an arm of Frenchman Bay looking toward the monadnocks of Mount Desert Island (Acadia National Park).
