On this early morning outing among the hibiscus, a large group of people showed up when I was about one third of the way into the painting. They were on a tour, there solely to see the mallows in full bloom. I was only 50 feet away from them in a small opening, and heard much of what they had to say to each other, but they never saw me through the dense mallow clumps. Glad I could stay focused on painting.
