South End bridge, a secluded yet wide-open location on LSSI, can be a good place to catch a breeze and encounter fewer bugs. On this afternoon it also provided a fine view of a storm building to the south, which before long spread in my direction and put and end to the plein air portion of this painting. I finished it later in the studio, during which I couldn’t resist exploring the details of the thundercloud.
