I was amazed to find so many high quality, beautiful grassland scenes in areas where the historic Wild Horse Prairie transitioned to savannas and woodlands along the Noxubee River. There were countless subjects to paint as I explored, but I decided the rich greens of this little prairie patch were reason enough to stop wandering around and get to work.
