Munson Township Cemetery Prairie

A robust growth of tall sunflowers, goldenrod, and big bluestem obscured both gravestones and the vast, rolling corn fields beyond as I attempted to photograph the fleeting moment for later reference in the studio. There was something beautifully poignant in the combination of somber sky, fall foliage, and tilting grave markers. The mood felt appropriate in this tiny Nature Preserve where the past is tangible.
