Cloud Forest Sketch

This sketch helped me figure out how I might best use light and dark elements, and particularly where to place the patch of sunlight in the foreground, for a larger canvas depicting the cloud forest of Chingaza National Park outside of Bogotá. I wanted to convey what it was like during a rare sunny moment in a spot in the forest where Beth and I spent the day. The final canvas (see below) was purchased by the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC.
