This image began on location in the fall of 2016 as a quick impression of the sun setting behind the first line of dunes on Rainbow Island. Not satisfied wiht the composition, I found inspiration to rework it in 2017 after watching the sun set among the dunes of Sancho Panza at the north end of LSSI.
