I wish I could’ve captured the full scope of this summer storm, but time was limited. After about ten minutes of painting, the wind picked up and all would have blown away had I not thrown everything into the cab of the truck. A wondrous site was a squadron of tree swallows crossing the marsh against that storm wind. They still managed to speed right along, skimming the tops of the thrashing grasses. It was beautiful to see the speeding flock stream from the grass tops down into a tidal creek “canyon” and then back up into the marsh and out of site.
