At elevation 5,450 feet, this is a November view from the Fork Mountain Ridge looking north, northwest over the Little East Fork of the Pigeon River. Birdstand Mountain is immediately in front on the left. Near the left end of the horizon, thirty some miles away is Mount Guyot in the Smoky mountains. Crabtree Bald, twenty or so miles away, is near the right end of the horizon.
